HomeRanking check

Ask for a ranking check on your clinic

One email from you, and usually within two business days a short written report on where the clinic stands in Google's map and web results, what the profile is missing, and what we would do first. It is free, it uses public information only, and no call is needed.

How to ask

Send the clinic's name and town, and the website address if the clinic has one. That is all we need. If more than one person should get the report, say so.

Or use the form

Free. We reply by email, usually within two business days.

What comes back

The report follows the SOAP layout:

  • Subjective: what you told us, if anything, and what a new client in your town would be looking for.
  • Objective: ten searches a clinic like yours should show for, run the way a person in your town would run them, with where the clinic stands in the map and the web results for each, and who holds the spots above (described by kind: an independent clinic, a corporate chain's page, a directory site). Then the Google Business Profile as the public sees it, line by line, and the website on a phone.
  • Assessment: why the clinic sits where it sits, in terms of the three things Google says the map results rest on: relevance, distance and prominence.
  • Plan: what we would do in the first 90 days, in order, what we would leave alone, and the flat monthly fee for that plan, in writing.

Every number in it is either from a public source, named, or marked as our estimate. The report goes only to the address you write from, and we never publish or sell it.

What happens after

Nothing, unless you want it to. If the report is useful and you would like help, reply and we take twenty minutes on a call, then send a written 90-day plan and a written flat fee. If not, keep the report. If the answer is no, reply "no" and we won't write again.

What the check never needs

Logins. Access to your practice management system. Patient or client records of any kind. A phone call before you have read it. A credit card.

Who it is for. Independently owned small-animal and mixed practices in US towns of roughly 5,000 to 150,000 people. One general practice per town; if we can't take on your town, we tell you straight away. If a corporate group or a management company already runs your marketing, we will say so in the report and leave it there.
